The Butcher’s Block, owned by Stan McGowan, has been in business in Sarasota for 42 years. To date, this family operated business has relied on the local market for business. With increasing competition and technological advances, it became apparent that the time had come to move forward with technology in order to increase market share, in the meat and wine business. With more than 1,500 wines in stock, the online sales opportunities are endless. Current customers are excited that their friends and relatives in other states are now able to take advantage of the excellent wine selection, prices, and customer service offered by The Butcher’s Block.
“Even though our meats are not sold online, we have gained new customers from the information and pictures of our meat products on the site”, says owner Stan McGowan.
He goes on to credit Nuevo for the beautiful and functional site that will help him achieve his goal of becoming more than a local store, but a national contender for wine business.
