Sarasota, FL – Nuevo Advertising Group™ recently received a 2012 American Package Design Award for its redesign of WellSpring Pharmaceutical Corporation’s Micatin® antifungal cream packaging. Presented by Graphic Design USA, the annual national competition received over 1,600 entries from across the United States and was sponsored by Neenah Paper.
WellSprings’s goal was to increase its market share by re-positioning the Micatin® brand to the growing Hispanic market in the United States. Nuevo developed the new package design based on factors such as age, generation, language, product loyalty, product uses and retail space. Nuevo also conducted focus groups to ensure a strong connection with the product and proper language use in all markets.

In addition to the new packaging for Micatin®, Nuevo also produced sales fact sheets, images, and updated content to reflect the Spanish culturalization of the original English copy.
